Curt McKim is the wheel maker, his compnay name is McWheels.
He is out of Slater, Iowa. (515)685-3397

The centers are original GM center's that were cut out of a set of 14x6 wheels that I supplied.
He get's new chrome rim shells from a supplier. I believe he can get chrome 14x6,14x7,15x6,15x7,15x8,15x10

You'll have to call for pricing. Mine are $110 each which includes the labor of cutting out the centers, sandblasting, prime&paint, reweld into new rimshells.

Thoughs wheels look GREAT!!! I have a set of four of these wheels also and this would be cool to make them into 15" like these that you had done.
I like the fact they are different and not seen everyday on our cars.
Like everyone else here I would love to see these with some nice white letter tires mounted on a car.:TU:

I would love to have a extra one of these wheels for the spare in my trunk. if someone here has a extra one they would sell.

>>Post an ad in the Buick Bugle. I did a little while back and a guy from Texas had two wheels he wanted to sell but I already aquired a set by then. I don't have his contact info or I would certainly give it to you.

Hi Tom,
Those super sport wheels look really good on your car with the tires. I'm definitely going to get mine painted body color along with the chrome rimshell and will probably use raised letter tires as I always favored that look.

Those look fantastic. My 71 GS350 came with those wheels but I sure would like them to be 15" with chrome rims! I will have to try to find another set of bare wheels!

Great look.

Hi Tom,
I think that the natural charcoal grey finish on the wheels looks good against the green exterior of your car.

Tom, very nice look. Thinking about doing it to my 71 vert. Do you have Curts web address or phone? Thanks, Bob

I've never seen these wheels before.

What years/cars did they come on?

I was wondering that myself. I heard them mentioned in a couple other threads, but had no idea what they looked like. Now I know!

>>Hi Ian,
The Buick Super Sport wheels in the style you see on Tom's car were only made from 1971-1972. In '71 the only size for these wheels was 14x6 and in '72 the size was 14x7. They only came painted a charcoal color and had trim rings on them. I know they were offered on the Skylark and GS and I would think on the 71-72 GSX as well. McWheels is actually customizing a set of the Buick Super Sport wheels for me right now. I will have two of the wheels resized to 15x7 and welded into chrome rimshells like Tom did and the other two wheels resized to 15x8 in chrome rimshells for the rear of my car so I can continue to use the 275x60x15 tires on the back. McWheels is also painting the normally charcoal centers burnished cinamon for me so that they match my car's paint job. I'll post pics of this set up when it is all complete.

Hmm...sounds like they're pretty rare...

wonder what a set is worth...if there is a large desire for them out there.

It depends - I bought a nice set of five for $150 recently of which McWheels is customizing for me.

I have desided NOT to use these wheels on my 70 post car. They are now for sale in the parts for sale area if anyone is interested I am asking 150 for a set of 4 plus shipping :TU:

Turns out, Curt lives in Slater, just a few miles away from me. A few years back he helped me with my 69 Marauder wheels, and specializes in Ford mustang GT wheels, as well as GM musclecars, as we have seen. I can tell you he knows his wheels and does a quality job in his remanufacturing process. Also, he used to hit the road for trade shows and swap meets around the country. He may still do this and come to your area.

>>When I spoke to Curt last week before he started my Buick super sport wheels he mentioned that he would be doing some kind of trade show or swap meet in early 2009.
