Can someone decode this for me? Its a little hard to read so this is my best guess. If something doesn't look right I'll try again!

I'll take a guess and say this is a Freemont car - correct?
Top Line ST70 - Style 1970 44637 - Buick GS455 2-door coupe BF - Freemont CA Fisher body Plant (was there a plant in Bakersfield, maybe??) 00843 BDY - Fisher Body Number: no relation to VIN, internal to Fisher only for tracking purposes2nd Line TR 179 - Burnished Saddle notch back seat (armrest) B80 - Roof drip molding - For some reason, Freemont was compelled to put this on their cars :Do No: 50 F PNT - Lower body paint code Bamboo Creme and upper body color F - Dark Brown vinyl top3rd Line 06B - Fisher completed the assembly of the body the second week June 1970 503314 880427 - batch codes again used at the Freemont plant only

Marco,
Given the low body number of the car in question, could it be that it is a very early 1970 model, built the 2nd week of June, 1969? I guess the VIN would help us with this. Bill, got the VIN?

I'm not sure Brad -
I believe the model year started 08A.
Freemont built 885 GS455 coupes in 1970. This was probably one of the last produced, and maybe the body numbers were in sequence to the style :Do No:
What do you think?

Marco,
If they used the body numbers model specifically, then yes, I could live with a June 70 production date. If however they body numbers were not model specific, well I don't know.
I'll wait for the VIN to say for sure.

Yep, I agree...June 1970 build date. Too high a VIN to be anything else. Well....it was just a thought!!!
This is a point of interest...GMAD (General Motors Assembly Division) used model specific body numbers...not like Fisher Body-Flint where the body numbers that were as low as Bill's would have been reserved for SCO's. Hummmm...another little piece of the pie....

Thanks guys, you're the best!
I guess I don't have to worry about being original...look to the left!
