1970 Passenger Side Mirror

My 1970 Riviera has a passenger side exterior mirror that refuses to hold its position. It is a non-remote adjustable mirror. It looks like it's on a "ball-type" joint that is not adjustable without diasassembly.

Does anyone kow how to tighten it up or how to remove the glass without breaking it?

:laugh: The glass is supposed to pop out with even pressure but it probably won"t. I have had luck heating the glass with a heat gun or 1500 watt hair dryer and then prying it of . The heat should soften the adhesive then after you make your repair reinstall the mirror with 3M weatherstrip adhesive
