I made my rounds on Thursday at some of the more local yards. I ran across a '70 Wildcat 2dr hardtop with the original 455 in it at one yard in Plant City. I went to the LKQ yards and only ran across a '67 Riviera and a '62 Electra 4dr hardtop at a St Pete area (Kenneth City)yard. The '70 Wildcat has some good body parts,p.windows,ac,some interior(dk green) and road wheels. The '62 electra is a very loaded car.Still has the 401 nailhead complete,ac,p.windows,p.vents,seat,wonderbar radio, speedminder speedo, and a couple of other options. Chrome is somewhat pitted. Some rust on the body. The '67 Riviera had buckets/console( I removed),has tilt column,ac,p.windows, newer style road wheels, good glass, bad windshield, a '73 455/trans.condition unkown. No original '67 engine parts.Good body parts. Had a perfect left fender( I removed). Not a GS. Interior is shot. Most chrome and potmetal is in good shape. Rear bumper is split at center top. These are in a u pull it yard so stuff/cars won't last long. Except for the '70 Wildcat.

Hey George, these are just a couple miles from your work place! Did you see the '56 Chevy 2 dr sedan there?

Yes, saw the 56...looks like they pulled it out of a lake.
Yes, the 73 Buick 455 went quick......if they guy there removing it was not there...it would have been in my truck bed.
Looks like the 67 had a nice black interior. Congrats on you getting the buckets and console. Paul got the column.

The inside wasn't that nice. I believe the driver window had been down for quite some time. Did you see the '73 and '77 Grand Prix's? The '73 came from the same place that the '56 Chev was at. A fellow near Bay Pines passed away that had amassed a huge collection of muscle/collector cars/parts. Dozens of the better cars have disappeared. But the real rustbucket ones are still around and some will be going to the LKQ.

I new Marty since the late 80's....he had a HUGE collection of cars.....like you said most of the good ones have been sold...rest of the "junk" are going to the St Pete yard. John (yard manager) keeps me up-to-date on what shows up from his collection.....I remember almost all of his cars......only one I wanted was a 71 Skylark 2dr...that had every option available......it was sitting for 10 years and ended up rusting very very bad....don't know if it was sold to someone.....heard it went to the tow truck driver.....went from a great driver car to parts car in 10 years...the body was totally shot.
