New to this forum. My dad is restoring a 57 Super and is about done with it, but the rear bumper ends are shot and he is having a hard time locating any that are even worth re-chroming. Any ideas on where to look? He's not a computer guy so I'm doing the leg work on this one. Thanks in advance for any help.

I may have one side and maybe both if they will work.I can post a pic in case John cannot find any for you..I am 99% sure these are from a 57 Buick..I also have a bunch of other trim stuff, steering wheel, and tailights I believe..I could be wrong what this stuff is for but I am very certain a 57 Buick.Look at the pic and see what you think. They are in very good condition in my opinion.......Thanks

Monty are you referring to the large curved ends of the bumper where the exhaust pipes exit through? These parts are GOLD Have yours redone by anybody but Bumper Boyz (do a search for more info on them) then post some pics when you can:Brow:
Welcome aboard.
Bruce I believe what you have pictured are called the rear splash guards.

DugsSin,
Thanks for the reply and info. about Bumper Boyz, I know my dad has talked with them. From what I've been told by others they can be VERY hard to come by. Most of the leads have been attached to a car that the seller has not been willing to part out. Unfortunately I don't think the ends my dad has are in good enough shape to even re-build.

I have 2 good rear bumper ends. They still have some chrome on them. They are NOT rotted out & are solid pieces that I've had on the shelf for many years. I don't have a camera to take pics & if I did don't know how to post'em. Many can vouch for my integrity on this board. Make me an offer I can't refuse.

Monty, You need to specify if you have single or dual exhaust.

Sorry, didn't even think about that. Dual exhaust on this one. Right now the exhaust is new to the mufflers and just dumped. He has not gotten around to bending pipe the rest of the way back.

Thanks for the reply. I'll talk to him and see if he's interested, any idea what that offer should be?
