Need to replace the carb on my 71 350 Skylark. It currently has the Rockchester factory 2bbl. Should I consider using a 4 bbl adapter and put a quadrojet on her or just stick with the 2bbl. Looking to keep things simple but would upgrade the replacemt if worth it. Car is stock with a dual exhaust.

Find an original 4bbl cast iron intake - they are pretty cheap, and a 4bbl carb (I used a Quadrajet), and a new 4bbl fuel pump to carb line and you will have some cheap extra 30 horsepower. I have a 1971 Skylark with dual exhaust which had the 350 2bbl set up and I switched to a 4bbl intake and carb set up - it was easy to do and definitely worth it!
