well after a 9 month delay I began working on my car again.
for a while I thought I lost the motor, but turns out its ok. The front pulley actually came loose and it sounded like a horrible knock. tightened her up, and I'm good to go.
Here is where I'm at: Last year out of pure frustration with a wasted muncie I swapped in a 2004r I had kicking around. It was easy enough to do once I got it around the headers. well the torque converter seal instantly started leaking big time, so that pretty much ended that joy ride. this was shortly before it started knocking. so I was frustrated a bit.
then I picked up a saginaw 4 speed for dirt cheap for a hundred bucks. Bought it from a friend who guarantees it good. obviously not the best choice for the application but it'll work for the time being. a supercase 4 speed has been the goal for along time now
so tonight I pulled the 200 out, and started putting the sag in. I got the flywheel and clutch back in and decided to call it a night. the TA flywheel is a heavy unit, and the dual friction is heavy too. I'm beat..
