I'm looking to buy BF Goodrich Radial TA's in P255/60R-15 size. I can get (4) of them to my door from the Tirerack for $348 and change. Anybody have a better suggestion for better pricing???
Thanks

Ken,
Has been a while since I bought some tires in that size, but seem to recall that either a BJ's or Sam's club carries the BFG's and they were reasonable.
Have seen some deals at tire rack, yet the larger sizes seem to be more.
Regards,
Mark

Thanks Mark!
There's a BJ's near me that I'll check out. I didn't even think of it, so thanks for pointing me in that direction. The Tirerack seemed reasonable until I saw shipping was $60+!
Thanks again. :TU:

Ken I would use a p235/60R15. The 255 will rub in the front on turns or dips. If they make a 245 you can get away with those but not many companies make that size any more.

They make 245s and I run those without problems.

Ken,
I have P255/60R-15's on Wheel Vintiques repro wheels all around on my 70 GS. I have no problems at all with rubbing, but my entire suspension is fresh. The P245/60R-15's are the closest to G60-15's in size. 348$ for the 4 tires is a great price. I paid 353$ for my 4 Radial T/A's from the Tire Rack on 10/17/00. That was 2 1/2 years ago. Summit wants 75.00 a tire + shipping. Grab them unless you can get them cheaper at Costco or Sams.

Thanks for the replies guys!
After reading your input, I went with the P245/50-15 size. It sounds like the P255 size rub issue is luck of the draw depending on individual vehicle (or whether you have a fresh suspension install like Larry!).
They were an even better deal at the tirerack. $309.12 to my door including a 2-day FEDEX upgrade that essentially was the same as the UPS ground quote. I suppose I could have waited to go to BJ's, but the price seemed damn good and, well, it just feels good to pop in that card number and hit "confirm order"!
Now to round up some rims.
Thanks again!

Ken, my shop is a recommended installer for Tire Rack. If you are coming to the meeting Sunday, you can have them shipped to me and we can put them on after the meeting. Just a thought.

Hey John-
I appreciate the gracious offer, but I'm afraid I won't be around this weekend. :( I also need to hunt up some rims as my car has 14's on it currently.
I was hoping to come to that meeting and get aquainted with you guys, but I already had this weekend booked. If you have a regular schedule of meetings, please forward the dates to me so I can make sure I'm available. I've been helped out a lot on this board and I notice the Northeast guys really chime in for each other. I can't wait to meet you guys in person. I do plan on Holmdel in June, whether or not my Buick is on the road.
Thanks again for the kind offer,
Ken
