Greetings: Mark your calendars!

Can you believe it? We actually get the track before late October:laugh: Plus, Jr. Dragsters again, and NW Pro Street Event going on!!

I know it is a bit early to start thinking about this event, but this allows plenty of time to keep the weekend open.

Start spreading the word to see if we can set an attendance record.

See you all there!

My neighbor across the street is selling his 70 Malibu and I happen to have an extra Buick 455 in my garage. ????? Would be fun to attend the Super Chevy Sunday with that combo. Looks like the shoe would be on the other foot for a change. I know our Chevy friends wouldn't like it one bit and would cry foul. John Biggs.

hi John,

Did Eric build that 72?

Hello my friend, he's moving ahead on it slowly. Eric has the engine apart and a TA engine rebuild kit is in his garage. The engine looked pretty good inside. No issues. Not even any cam bearing issues. :Brow: He's pretty much got everything for the engine short block. Still needs to get the 350 to 455 motor mount conversion kit though. At this point he's ready to take his short block to a good machinist. In time he should have a good 12 sec. street car. He's happy with the engine you sold him. The bumper you sold him is on his car. Looks great. He has had the car gutted out for awhile. He's now putting in all new interior and doing a good job. Funny thing is he's not intimidated by jumping in there and taking things apart. Lot of guys would just pay to have someone do the work. He's having fun. Glad he's a Buick guy. John Biggs :TU:

Well, since your car wont make it this year, maybe you want to Pit Crew mine, Steve:TU: I am actually considering trailering the car so as not to have to drive it then beat hell out of it racing and not make it home:pray: Plus, need truck to haul tires tools and gear.

Does anyone that's been to this event know anything about the car show?

If I show up as a race spectator, what's a good time to be there?

Cheers
Jeff ~

It is a great time, gates open at 7 am for the racers mainly, car show folks start trickling in then and it picks up around 8-9 for sure; show spectator will see the full enchillada from around 11am on as the weather is going to be great, racing spectator may want to get there around 9 and I bet more folks keep rolling in all day with nice drivers.

Head out there!

Short list includes:
1) final safety inspection
2) rear dif service
3) final tune

Wifeeee can not make it- pit crew = solo. I plan to drive out and bag out on trailer plan so run what I brung.

I hope to convince tech to allow the vert to run 1/8th's and sneak a 1/4 on the way out.

Hi Lee,

Hopefully Steve can post some pics? I have not checked if I got any good ones on my camera.

I was not allowed to run as tech required convertible top to be up to run. I have frame only ( with boot cover) until the car gets painted one day, so..No Top, No Roll Bar= NO run. Despite that inconevience, it was absolutely perfect weather for all the great guys and gals who showed up there; well worth the 45 minute drive in the ragless top, oh, and some great cars there to boot.

Thanks Bremerton RaceWay, a great facility and folks and they draw great crowds-

Met a guy who is not on the board (doesn';t do computers...) local guy who had an original 4speed GS 455- he got it from orig owner who did not take very good care and she loved to party and go sideways and the rear qtrs show it. He has it and plans to keep it just as is. He ran a about flat 14though as I think he was shifting way too early; crisp shifts however, so if he keeps an eye on the tach he will be able to get that thing down there a bit quicker next time.

Mark Burton (Justa350) was there with his car- what a project with the twin turbo 350. <- He even got props from the tower man!:beer

Its always great to see Jim D and his most supporting wife at the car shows in his Original Owner GS Stage 1 car; <-(yes, he bought it new in 69 I believe and you bet folks, that is the original ( recently rebuilt) engine in there :beer ) It just goes to show _DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE YOUR CARS! (I drive the heck out of mine!)

There was a very well done red 71 that had a 4 speed FI 455 with all sorts of added goodies. Neat car other than the Chelleve paint stripes:spank: That car had a lot of effort put into it!

Tons more there.....See everyone next year!

Da Torquester.
