headers and exhaust

that's what i'm looking at. 3" hooker headers into a reducer and to a 2.5" flowmaster exhaust. can anyone think of something that'll give me more bang for the buck? has anyone used either one of these? i'm a little bit leary of anything that is supposed to fit many different cars/engines, which is why i want to make sure i don't end up with a jumbled mess of pipes, or tons of stuff to relocate to make room.

I don't think thoose are the headers you want. the application only list buick regal 78-87 with chevy motors.

The exhuast you have there is want you want. That's what I have and it went up perfect. Just do make sure you put the pipes up in the order that the instuctions say, or it will be a pain the but...
It's sounds great and made a good power difference. I kept my stock manifolds, and used TA perf. downpipes to connect the manifolds to the system designed for headers.

hm, i know other guys have used hooker comps, and those are the only set on their that mention a 350.

anyone have an answer as to which ones i need?

The set you are looking at are for a small block chevrolet V8 engine in a 78-87 Regal. [same body as a monte carlo]

The part you want is for a *BUICK* 350. Hooker part number 1103.

The exhaust you have picked out will work just fine... But unfortunately, the correct buick headers cost just about double what the chevy headers cost.

i saw 99 on their price list i think.

exactly how big are the downpipes? looking at my stock exhaust/mainfolds and the flowmaster exhaust, they look like could match up with a little work?

anyone know of any other people that make headers for buicks? sheesh, i just wanted to plop down some money for a few steel tubes and i find out i can't get them for under a few hundred dollars.

JC whitney has dual exhuast kit. I *think* it was like $100, I don't think that that included mufflers.
TA perf may have lowered the price on the downpipes.
The downpipes are around 3 feet long, maybe less, I think 2 1/2 diameter... If you have stock single exhuast you can probabally chop up the Y pipe to connect to the exhuast. If you have factory duals, you should be able to make it connect no problem.
