I have Sloan docs that say it was ordered 11-05. Any way to find out when it was done and delivered to the dealer? Thanks!

Not that I know of since delivery date dependend on the factory build schedule and rail/trucking company schedule.

I have the original paperwork from the dealer on my '68 GS and the new owner signed the final papers 3 weeks after it was ordered. The funny thing is that the build date on the cowl tag was the same week that the new owner signed the final papers. I guess delivery time from Wilmington Del. to Kingston, PA was very short.

Typical delivery date to dealer is 2-3 weeks after car was assembled.

One of my Stage 1 cars came with a pile of original paper work. These are the dates from that car.

Fisher body tag 12B (Fisher Body)
Flint Mi Invoice 12/18/69 (GS Historical Society)
Dealer delivery date 2/3/70, Seattle Wa. (protect-o-plate)
Dealer sales contract "Retail Order Form" 1/30/70
"Pink Slip" Registration 2/3/70

Not sure if this helps but these are the dates for this car.

Delivery dates are entered in the P-O-P booklet, if your fortunate enough to have it, and the dealer completed the paperwork. :TU:

I agree, and think it depends largely on the assembly plant and dealership locations.

For example - when I ordered my '87 Chevy pickup I followed it down the line in Flint. I drove it through the shipping building myself and left the plant at 1 am.

By 4 pm that same day it was sitting in the dealer's parking lot in Davison (9 miles away)...
