Clutch disc/pressure plate

Should the clutch disc be sandwhiched between the flywheel and pressure plate so it does not move? or should there be just enough room so you can move it around?

The clutch disc should not move when the pressure plate is bolted down.

Just making sure. haha I've never had a stick before and wanted to make sure it should fit in there tight.

Also make sure the disk is centered. There are special clutch tools sold (about $6), or maybe a deep socket the right size will work.
If the disk isn't centered, it will be near impossible to get the trans installed right!

The tranny is in already. I used the alignment tool and took it out and bolted down the pressure plate and then realized when I bolted down the pressure plate the disc came uncentered. haha It's in now.
