So why don't we have a sticky that lists the bolt pattern for different years/styles of Buicks? :Smarty:

That way in the future I won't turn down a set of nice wheels cause I think they're the wrong size and try to buy a set that are indeed the wrong size. lol :eek2:

'60 Invicta 5x5
'67 Special 5x4.5

I'm calling the salvage guy in Terrible Haute, anything you want while I'm there? :3gears:

PS: The wheels off my Astro van won't fit the Special no matter how many times I try it. roflmao

This is why I'd like to see some sort of sticky thread.

My Astro wheels are 5x4.75(120mm) and they don't fit.

The spare tire on my Special measures 5x4.5 from center to center skipping one hole.

So am I measuring wrongly? Or did someone switch all the hubs on the Special?

BUICK BOLT PATTERN GUIDE AND

BUICK LUG PATTERN REFERENCE




The bolt pattern, lug pattern, or bolt circle is the diameter of an imaginary circle formed by the centers of the wheel lugs. Bolt patterns can be 4, 5, 6, or 8 lug holes. A bolt circle of 4x100 would indicate a 4 lug pattern on a circle with a diameter of 100mm. The bolt pattern is comprised of two numbers - the first indicates how many bolt holes are on the wheel, and the other describes how far apart they are. A bolt pattern of 5-115mm would mean the wheel has five bolt holes and they are 115mm apart (measured across the center of the wheel). Dual Bolt Pattern: More and more manufacturers are building their wheels with two bolt patterns. This expands the number of fitments the wheel applies to. For example: a wheel with a 4-100/114.3 bolt pattern has 8 lug holes and will fit both 4-100mm and 4-114.3mm fitments. Measuring a 5-bolt pattern: A 5-bolt pattern is very difficult to measure without using a bolt pattern gauge. Basically, you would measure the diameter of a circle that crosses through the center of the lug holes. This method is not recommended to confirm wheel fitment. Steel Wheel is Chrome with Black Painted Centers.
Bolt Pattern: 5X4 3/4" only
Finish: Chrome/Black Painted
Application: Fits 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 Buick Century, Gran Sport, Regal, Skylark, Special, and Wagons.

This wheel will not fit Buick Riviera Applications.
