Is anyone out there reproducing gas tanks for mid 50's Buicks, specifically a 56 Special? I'd like to replace mine as it looks (and smells) pretty bad. I've searched the Net and come up short; I found that Bob's Automobilia has the sending unit, but nothing for the tank.

Just asking if someone out there knew anything about it. I suppose if I had to, mine could be saved, but it does have some small rust holes in the top.

Wow you guys are fast.

Would the 54 Buick gas tank fit my 56? I suppose if need be it could be modified.

I just got a new tank from Tanks Inc. for my '50 special. And I'd reccomend them for sure. I know that they say 50-54 on the site and then jump into the 60's models, but I'd give them a call anyway and I'd bet they can help you out.
