afb top on a new edelbrock

i was told you can put the top of afb on the edelbrock. if this is true can some one walk me thru with pics if possible. thanks jim

There were several tops for the AFB through the years. Most of the bowl cover screws are in the same location, a few were eliminated. There could be different holes for air bleed tubes that protrude through the cover, and different choke mechanisms. The Edelbrock is an AFB carb, and is pretty much identical to the newer Carter AFB, but you'll have to check for some of these differences. Good luck, Frank
