Hi all,

As an undepletable source of tech info, I hope you guys can help me.

When I drive my car, I hear this metal clicking noise coming from the front wheel(s) It occurs with every rotation of the wheel.

I checked al wheel nuts and bolts and everything is tightly fastened.
When I jack my car up so that the wheels can rotate freely, I don;t hear anything anymore.

Only when there is weight on the wheels, it can be heared.

Can it be a worn out bearing or something?

Brakes are all good and checked (pads are replaced and drums are honed)

Thanking you all in advance!

Maybe a wheel bearing that has a cracked / broken cage?

I'd also go with a bad bearing- cheap and pretty quick to change!
( if this turns out to be the case, don't forget to do the other side too!)

It may sound silly, but a rock stuck in the tire tread gives off a little clicking noise...painfully obvious once I found out. :Dou:

Thanks for the tips guys!

I will go for the bearings.

Inspection of tyres has already been done. I had it too once, a pretty large piece of gravel got in the threads.
