Is there any template for "Profile" information that should be posted for each car?

Might be interesting to have profile sheets for each car that indicate details for the car: engine, trans., production number, Dealer, build date, etc. Might be neat to be able to read the same presentation of information for each car being viewed.

I have seen all kinds of display materials for cars at shows. I have nothing prepared for my car but would like to share some details on "my" car and thought others may as well.

If someone (there are several graphic designers on the board) came up with a template it might be worth considering. I know I would appreciate any help putting together some type of information sheet or board for my car.

Any suggestions appreicated!

Every GSX being present will get a show card to place in the window that can be filled out by the owner. It will have several lines at the bottom to be include special details. The show cards will be different for the GSX owners than for the BPG nationals Show cars.

The card have already been printed and I will not be able accommodate that request. I hope you understand. I do not think you will be disappointed with the cards when you see them.

Mark,

Do you have more specifics regarding the GSX reunion? I plan on trailering my GSX from the St. Louis area on early Friday AM and plan on arriving Friday afternoon. I plan on staying at the Holiday inn Express.

When I spoke to Duane last year about the reunion, he stated that there would be guards at the hotels and also at the track to watch the cars. Is this still the case?

Also, since i am not a member of the BPG (and realize I should join) do I need to join to get into the event?

Also, what gate at the track do we use to get in, and how much $$$ to get in?

Are there any informal GSX car cruises planned?

I am trailering my car on an open trailer, since that is going to be the only type available. In the worst case scenario, does anyone know of a local car wash we can clean our cars if the weather get nasty during our travels?

I apologize for asking these questions if they have been answered before.

I have been looking forward to this event for almost a year and I want to plan accordingly. Thank you Mark and Duane for all of the hard work organizing this event.

Thanks,

Ken

Also, since i am not a member of the BPG (and realize I should join) do I need to join to get into the event?

GSX owners are not required to be BPG Members to come to the event and show their GSX.

Also, what gate at the track do we use to get in, and how much $$$ to get in?

I am not sure what gate. I believe there will be signs on the main road into the facility to get you there. You may want to ask Sean Ryder or the BPG staff on buickperformancegroup.com

Are there any informal GSX car cruises planned?

Thursday night will be the BPG cruise in but I am guessing most owners will hang out in the parking lots into the wee hours swapping stories.

I am trailering my car on an open trailer, since that is going to be the only type available. In the worst case scenario, does anyone know of a local car wash we can clean our cars if the weather get nasty during our travels?

I am not sure on this one, Maybe someone who lives in the area can help out on this. Otherwise you will need to scope it out when you get there.

You are better off leaving the truck and trailer at the track. It saves your spot there and leaves more room at the hotel for parking. :TU:

John no problem,
I never put him down as a yes, but I sure hoped to check out that car. I talked to him and still do not understand why he won't bring it, there are going to be 2 other 71 Cortez Gold small block GSX's there, and both of them have buildsheets. Who would take offense to having one more? Maybe I should talk to him about buying it. I miss my old 71 Cortez Gold 350 GSX.

Hi Ray,

We have never met but I believe we spoke on the phone a year or two ago (Jim Turner connection). We are leaving the DFW area early Wednesday am and will be staying the night in Nashville. I'm not sure which route you are driving, but if you want to try to hook up on the highway let me know and we can exchange cell phone numbers. I will be meeting up with another Texas GSX owner (Greg King) in Texarkana, and we are traveling I-30 to I-40 to I-65 on Wednesday, then I-65 to I-71 to I-70 on Thursday.

Looking forward to seeing your car.

Hey Tom, thanks for the heads up on the moose, yep we got lots around here and they are scary huge things when on the pavement in front of you....
It was nice meeting you and everyone else at the reunion.
No moose but a few deer and almost tagged a huge wolf near Dorion. It was a really nice drive on the way home, cruised around London, Ont and overheated the X to scary part of the gauge, seems may have been airlocked??? I stopped by Legendary Motors in Milton, Ont and saw a really nice resto being done on a 70 gs st 1 with low low miles from Minny, Wow....board members car?????
Cruised around Sudbury with no probs, made it to Thunder bay for cruise night and lots of onlookers.

A huge Canadian thanks to all the organizers and attendees... for me this was an event i will never forget and now my wife finally gets the signifigance of this buick/gsx thingy i've been going on about for all these years. She and I met some really nice people with similar interests and i never got the impression that anyone had a better car than the next one, but they were all special in there own right, so for me, this is what makes owning a buick so special EH:TU: .

here was our route home:

I'm quite familiar with all those bridges, border crossing points, and Hwy 17 across Lake Huron and Superior.
