Just got home with the 72 conv. left clt @ 6am and drove my excurison with a trailer to portsmouth va. Not sure what this car was because the Description on ebay was not to clear. and pics were taken from far away. when i got there and saw the car it Exceeded Expectations! not near as bad as i thought. next came the turning of the key. the owner shot it starting fluid and she fired and ran great. put her in gear and off we went shifting smoothly thru 3 . filled it up with gas and david and i checked all the fluids which were ok. tire pressure ok, some steel showing on the front rt.
on the way back david said why dont you give it open road test while i am behind you with the trailer. damn what a goo idea i never thought of that. so i went back and paid for it and got the title and off we went. 3.5 hours of 70 mph and she just purred 40 psi oil press. 190 water temp. 2 big holes in the mufflers. but no problems!
stop to fill up again and really start to looking and this thing has TA parts all over it.intake, alve covers, holley carb.,12 bolt posi, headers, vac. can for brakes, 3 wg wheels, head studs. now i need to find out if anybody knows this car?http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh86/mrfxst/cf46_1.jpg

Great find Scotty! I would love to find a really nice 70-72 Skylark convertible in my area.

Nice score!

If you end up with buckets in that car, I know someone that would be interested in that front bench:Brow:

Nice find, but it looks like it has a 71 GS interior?

GS and Skylark custom interior are almost same, except emblems. 72 custom has carpet bottom on door panels.72 base model is plain jane with seams desisign that match seat. Obviously custom, in that it is convertible.
