Well, the diesel dodge that I drive alot actually belongs to dad, so he was driving that. We all met up at a restaraunt for dinner and of course theres always that father/son competitiveness between us. I had the ol' Accord out. So we pull out of the parking lot with me in front and travel down the road a bit till we come to the first red light. Im in the right lane and he rolls up beside me in the left. Of course theres no eye contact or gestures made, no engine revving or any of that. We both just knew it was on. So Ive got my eyes pinned on the light waiting for the green and I hear him bringing the revs up against the brakes. So Ive got my 2.0 liter 4 banger at about 2500 ready to go and my foot just ready to pop the clutch. Bam! Green light and im off like a prom dress. Dads still just taking off. So I make a perfect power shift at 6500 and glance in my mirror to see where dads at. Hmm.. I dont see him. 3rd is yet another smooth shift and I start to see dad is about even with me. Im already at WOT and Ive got no more to give. He passes me at around 70 and I just let up. That race was about over. So of course I take a short cut home and still beat him home. So in walks dad with his s**t eating grin. "Look like your ricer burner couldnt keep up" So I reply "Well I beat you off the line, and I beat you home. Lets just call it a tie." Maybe i need NAAWWWSSSSSS....... to keep up with a diesel dual wheel truck.:Dou:
