Here are some shots of my 65 Elky with a 65 Skylark GS drivetrain. I bought it on Ebay over a year ago, it needs some work, but I have been busy building a shop so I haven't had time to work on it. The frame is GS, original t-10 four speed, etc. It was built from three old cars, a 64 and a 65 Elky, and of course a four speed GS. Really nice paint job, but the upholstery sucks and they didn't do much to restore the vehicle before painting it. It has a few mechanical things that I need to deal with before driving it, but it sounds great..... Please check-out the attached photos. Later I will post pics of my projects which include making a true Bucamino body to put on this frame....

Thanks for looking, Kurt

Looks like a good atart and an ambitious project. For what it's worth, my advice is to take your time and do it right. :3gears:

Next time try to save the photos in JPG or JPEG format.
225.1 kB for a little 320 x 240 photo is way too much.

Here's the first photo in JPG format, only 17.3 kB small:

Looks like a nice project, keep us informed :TU: !

Eric,

Thanks for the advice on the size of my pics, but how did you post the picture directly without it being an attachment?

Kurt,

Open a free account at Photobucket.

Here's what I typed before on this board:

Save the board's webspace:
Use your own webspace to show photos and scans !!!

If you want to show photos on this board, you first have to upload them to the internet.

Here are the steps to follow:

1) You can create a FREE and SPAM-FREE account at:

http://pic.photobucket.com/pb_logo.gif (http://www.photobucket.com) < Click logo

If you are afraid that you will receive a lot of spam, (which is not the case with Photobucket) you can even make up your e-mail address, and other details.
No conformation mail will be send.

After registering there, you can upload your photos to your own private album on PhotoBucket:

http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b39/RivieraForum/Erik1/upload.jpg

2) Click the Browse button to search for a photo, stored on your computer.

3) After this you click the Submit button,
and the photo will be loaded to your PhotoBucket album.

4) If you view your uploaded photos, you will see 3 addresses under each thumbnail:

http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b39/RivieraForum/Erik1/code.jpg

5) Now you have to copy and paste the [img] link, that's the bottom one:

Move your cursor over the link, and click the left-mouse button.
You will notice that the address will change colour, this means that the address is "saved to your mouse" (to keep it simple)
A little yellow tag will show up, saying "Copied".

6) Now you can paste the link and post it in the thread where you want to show this particular photo, or more photos in the same post.

Go to the post, and click the right-mouse button again.
The little sub-screen will open again, and click with the left-mouse button on Paste.

Now the link is showing in the post,
and it will come up as your photo when you post it :TU: :TU: !!

That is a genuine 1965 Skylark GS, four speed, resting in shame in an Elky body, but it sure sounds nice. :)

This reminds me...yesterday i was drivin home from school and noticed an El Camino about a block away from my house for sale. Personally, im not a big El Camino person, actually i used to hate them. But this one was cool, mainly cuz it has the same scheme as my skylark, red w/ a black vinyl top. So i stopped by today to check it out. It was a 71, this is the only body style of this car that i have seen that i have liked alot. Def had some serious rust issues, needed a new vinyl top, basically a new everything, motor was together but w/out carb, fan etc. Deffinitely a project thats for sure.
The man comes out and says the lowest he will go is $3000. :Do No: :spank:
Im not El Camino expert....but that seems a little rediculous. None the less, a neat ride.
