Local small drug store near me has a few interesting items, such as a 64 Ford Thunderbolt. There is also a 5 car set which includes a 72 boat tail Riv. Perhaps I should have spent the 10 bucks to get these today.:Dou: I can always go back, since those aren't big sellers at this store.

found the 70' blue GSX hotwheels couple of weeks ago at walmart in the "hot wheels 10" pack. has black stripping. i'm in serious competition with my grandson's ages 4 and 8. we have a 13' dragstrip (plywood construction). we run for some serious money, "mine of course". its' a weekly trip now to walmart, kmart and big lots to hopefully find the fastest car. we haven't set any rules on modifications so i'm threatening to add weight to my cars and use graphite on the axles. they'll team up with their dad to try and out smart me. we'll see.

LOOK WHAT I GOT FOR $1.00!!! :Brow: :laugh:

I was at wal-mart so i looked there. They didnt have any cars at all. So i decided to venture over to Kmart as well. I looked on the aisle, where they had a lot of cars, but no GSX. So i went, bummed, to the register to check out. When i noticed that there was a buge hot wheels display inbetween the registers. I told my brother and sister to look on one side while i looked on the other. After sifting through Hot Wheels for a good 15 minutes i finally found two of them together, right in the middle. Also picked up a Grand National (red? :puzzled: )while i was at it. :pp

The one GSX is printed wrong, is that worth more. As you can see the difference in the two. On one, the paint is all shifted down, stripe is too far down and doesnt connect to the spoiler, the GSX letters are on the rear light. :idea2:


I'll give ya 37 cents for the one with the bad paint job.....shipped.

Here is some of the stuff I found per our conversation. I'll find some of those tow riggs evantually. I know when I was in Tenn the Target on Gallatin Road in Goodletsville had quite a few of them Maybe there is someone close to there. It's right out of Nashville. Anyway I found allot of them there. I have been also running across allot of the Blue GS's. I'll be putting a few of these up for sale. Don't worry Joe I'm putting some in the destination Jersey bag.

I went to 6 stores looking for tow trucks today not much luck.

Here are some more. I found these when on vacation with the family. There were allot of these. I was going to buy every Buick one they had but my wife was getting tire of my antics of just doing bathroom stops and gas stops when I seen a Walmart or Target and even K-mart signs on the expressway. There was a bigger selection of die cast cars down south. It was getting out of control for me.

Its funny how they're available....Red and Blue were all over the place here in Orlando.. I had 10's of each (gave them to all the little kids I know)

South Florida is no better. I have not seen the dark blue, I've only found one green, and a couple orange so far.

First was the white then yellow (or vice verse) then Red.
Then blue, green and orange.

The dark blue was part of the blue release, I guess they ran out of one color and subbed another.

I must have had 20 red ones... I only have 2 left as I gave them to all the little kids I know and told them it was like my car... wish I had to keep a few more red ones.

Here's my shelf above the computer and my cabinet. The ones in the boxes are my autograffed ones. The one in the box with the box next to it was from English Town years ago when I got MATCO Tools VIP tickets and I went all around the pits getting the drivers to sign it.


Cool story, the shot that has the "Little Red Wagon" in it, I worked on that once. I was working at Farra Springs and the guy busted the springs on the trailer so I replaced them.

He unloaded the wagon and did a show for us in the parking lot. Now I don't have to tell you, but, that was a fun day at work !!! :TU:

I am seeing a LOT of really nice examples of this hobby in this thread and I would like to put it out there that I am looking for any models or die cast of a 1964 Buick Electra 2 door hardtop or most preferably a convertible.

If anyone can point me in the right direction for this car I will blow you away with how I will show my appreciation :cool:
