Hi Everyone,
Why is it that when I'm "Logged In" there are a few sections like:
"Cars and Parts For Sale Leads" that is NOT visible to me?
But....when I "Log Out" all the sudden those sections appear. What's up with that?:Do No:
Thanks...:)

On a potentially related note......
Is there any way to keep from getting logged off after being 'away' or 'idle' from the board? I don't know how many times this has happened.....just happened again tonight after going down to grab a drink. I don't think I was gone more than 15 or 20 minutes.
Mike - any suggestions?
Thanks:Comp:

Kerry, no idea. Please PM to Jim Weise directly for help with that issue.
Scott, I am never logged off the board after any length of inactivity. Doesn't seem likely to be a board function, have never seen any kind of related user settings.

Delete cookies and temporary files.

That's the crazy part. It doesn't actually log me off, it's more like restarting from when I'm active on the board again. (effectively same difference)
All the 'new' posts that I hadn't read basically get hosed.
Mike - done both of those suggestions numerous times.

I have never had the need to log in??
Wonder why?
I mean not since the first time I came on the site. A couple of years ago.

Has to be your Internet Explorer.
Try using Firefox.

Joe, you must be set up for automatic login, as I am. I rarely need to log in when I load V8.
Scott, also try actually logging off the board, then go directly to clear your cookies and temp files, then log in again.

Did that last night.
I'll try staying idle for a bit and see if it's doing the same tonight.

Scott, I think the board does in fact "refresh" what is new on a per user basis, after a set period of time from login. I used to experience that at work sometimes, when I'd hit the View New Posts link, but get distracted by work for a while. Come back and try to read and they wouldn't be new anymore.

Well....it did in fact log me out. It was just under an hour & a half of being idle.

I asked the same question sometime ago. I get logged off everytime i sign in at least 3 times while i'm here and I'm not idle either.

Same problem here, apparently no one can start a new thread. The home page has only shown new POSTS, no new THREADS since last night, I think, or early this morning. I'll email JW and let him know.

I'm having trouble with the "search" function. Doesn't matter if I'm on the main page trying to do an overall search, or if I'm in a specific section of the board.
I hit search, type in the key word I'm looking for, and the thing just sits there until it gets to the point it just quits searching:Do No: :Do No: :Do No:
