Found four tonight at Wally World!

Dude your so gonna hate me, I found 6 more today without trying at the same walmart as all the rest. Gotten a dozen out of the same store so far.

I wasn't going to look but I did and found 3 of them right together.
Then two of them together, then found 1 more and decided to leave before I found more.

Though out of them all only 3 are in nice shape, strips line up right with spoiler, marker lights are right, though all of them have a tiny bit of yellow showing by the tach. Like a flaw in the over lay or something.

Yep, two at toys r us ,2 at Zellers and 2 at the Zerhr's . I know sounds odd but they have had a large display there in the past.
It is one of the Zerhr's in Barrie. not sure where you are located.

Up past Thunder Bay in a little town called Atikokan. The wood industry has been tough on the Northern towns. No Zellers, Toys r us, or Zerhr's.. the only store we have now is the Bargain Center, which just opened and does have a nice hot wheels display. I went in the other day and found a treasure hunt that was all by itself on a peg at eye level for a 8 year old. It wasn't a Buick but what a find, it made my day for sure.....

As described on the other thread, i have bought 14 total GSXs (one open) and 2 GNs that are different. Found 2 at K-Mart and 12 at Walmart :beers2:

Notice the side of the card is yellow with an 07 at the top.
Makes searching easier as you just have to check the yellow one and look for 07

Finally hit the jackpot today - though unexpected as I was not looking for them. Kurt from the board already sent me one which I gave to my son who loves playing with it. Then today I was at Walbaums to pick up some odds and ends for dinner and spotted three of the Hotwheels GSX on an end cap. I bought two of them (would have bought the third as well but the plastic looked a little scratched).

As a long time Hot Wheel guy as well, I found the yellow ones before Christmas. The good news; I just found the Apollo White ones last week (Sacramento area). The white looks just as sharp. The way Hot Wheels work, the "first editions" will generally be the most realistic looking, and lately they have been coming out with multiple color variations. I anticipate several more colors of the GSX 1st edition before they are done. After the casting has been out a while, they will start to doing the wacky repaint schemes and changing the glass color. So in other words, buy as many first editions as you can, they will probably be the most realistic looking ones. I have been begging the Hot Wheels folks to make a Buick casting for years now on their website. Maybe they finally listened!:TU:

So I had family visit this past weekend.
They brought stuff for my daughter and then my cousins husband says he had something for me too.

He pulls out a Hot Wheels out of a bag and its white!
When he bought it at Target, my cousin said to him "Why would Curtis want that?"

He told her its a guy thing to want a Hot Wheels that's like your real car.

Then I told them I had 4 yellow ones already and couldn't find the white ones anywhere.
He gave her the "I told ya so" look :bla:

We need xmas to come back around.

Here local all the stores have gone down to just having a few dozen on the rack.

When for xmas they had gian't cube displays full of 1000s of cars on all 4 sides to dig through. Problem is with such little rack space, the white ones are stuck in the back till all the ugly ones no one wants sells to make room to restock.

I am finally seeing them here in south Florida. But they seem to be fewer than when the yellow ones hit.

I am noticing the same as 70sLark the number of pegs devoted to the Hotwheels has gone way down.

Well the cube display was back tonight, but I couldn't really look as they had crap all around it for restocking the shelves.

Then fun fun my key wouldn't work in either door lock, thank god the rear door opened. I would of punched out a window. Done it before, they break easier then you think when your pissed.

I had to make a run to the local Kmart today to get vacuum cleaner bags and of course stopped by the toy car isle - no white GSXs, but as I turned to head to the register I spotted a bunch of the white GSXs on a turnstyle display. I searched through them as a couple had defects (one looked like it had a melted front headlight and bumper!) and wound up buying three - one for my son who is playing with it right now and two for my garage collection.

I found three more at Wal-Mart yesterday. Yellow ones are gone. I was looking for the GSX boy's shirts someone mentioned in another thread. Couldn't find 'em. It'll be cool when I take my daughetr to the Chevy show next month in a GSX shirt!

Well i FINALLY got ahold of some white GSXs!!! My dad was at Target and told me he found one in a ten pack and asked if i still wanted it. I told him yea, depending on how lame the other cars are. So he got it and it turns out it had awesome other cars in it too, a 70 challenger, a nice blue and black roadrunner, some 65 low rider chevy. Then today i went to Walmart and made my usual Hot Wheels trip, and sure enough they finally put out the newest ones! So i bought the two white GSXs that were there, a 2010 mustang, GT40, i bought two of that sweet orange AMC Javelin, a light blue 65 GTO with black flames, and the orange version of the Mercury Cougar. I was very happy to finally get the white GSX to say the least. I think the Apollo White looks cooler than the Saturn Yellow :cool:

There is a guy on ebay who custom paints hotwheels cars to match with singers/music groups. I saw he had made a Motorhead white GSX so I contacted the guy and asked him to make me a DIO white GSX - and here it is!

I found 4 of the white GSX's at my local grocery store, along with 3 silver '69 SS396 Chevelles, and 3 silver '64 Corvette Grand Sports. Come to find out, they have Hot Wheels in different locations throughout the store. I must have left another 6-10 there of EACH. However, I have not been able to find any yellow ones. Maybe they came out first and sold out?

If you are looking for something really hot, find yourself a Welly 1:26 GSX. I've got 2 of these in white and the detail is hands down the best of any of the diecast models I've seen, including Hot Wheels, Ertl, American Musclecar, Johnny Lightning, etc. Puts them all to shame. Chrome valve covers, white washer bottle (!), gold p/b booster, detailed dash, 4 spd with consolette, plastic taillights, accurate front end, very sharp.

Yellow did come and go, why its white now, though ya may find some still, hope red is next, then maybe a custom jobber I hope is not butchered by Foose HE division ;)

A few years back back hot wheels had their 100% collector series 71 GSX, that thing has very impressive detail for a 1/64th model, really impressive. Only came in red and yellow AFAIK....white would be perfect and I still hope they make more eventually.

Right now our walmart has white GSX's I picked up both the white and yellow GSX's couple of each. I also have the black and Gold/black GN's I also have the blue JL 70 GS, the Red 71 GS collector edition, and a JL 70 GSX( that my best friend sent me for Xmas, and he is an Olds nut)

Plus I have both the yellow 70 GSX and the Black 71 GSX in 1/18. Gotta love collecting Buicks.
