I am planning on putting in a Competition Engineering roll cage(8 point) into S&CB. Has any one put one of these in? Was it a bitch or was it fairly simple. Did it fit correctly?
I know it will have to be cut and fabbed some, but is it at least in the ball park??-
Thanks for the help:TU:

I used a Comp. Eng. cage in a 70 GS I built a few years back. Everything fit fine. You will have to do some cutting and fitting as with any cage. The rear bars had to be bent by a chassis chop to allow use of the rear seat, as it was a street/strip car. I am currently building another 70 GS and have ordered a Jeg's 8 pt. with a universal rear seat addition (downtubes that allow use of rear seat). We'll see how it works.

Why not give S&W racecars roll bar a shot? They are more local to you and shipping wont be that terrible. And their parts are great too..

X2 thats who I used good guys you see them at Atco sometimes. Are you using steel or moly? I went with steel because I have access to a commercial mig. If you go with moly it must be tigged to be legal. Easy job did it in a weekend cut a few 6x6 holes in the floor/trunk so you can get to the frame. For the main hoop I hole sawed the frame and pass it through and welded top and bottom for added strength. Jkaz

Luckily I have something in the works with a member here who has an un-used cage for a G-Body. Even if I have to buy the correct main hoop all of the other supports are interchangeable. It should work out well!:TU:
