I have Coker Classics on my 66 Conv. but flynbuick just bought a set of Dayton redlines from Diamond Back Classics in S.C. They are wider and look better installed than the Cokers. Send him a PM for the address and telephone number. John

Duane can probably elaborate here but I don't believe Redlines were an option on the 70-72s. 68 or 69 was the last year for them. I could be wrong, but it seems like I heard this somewhere....:Do No:

You will never buy the Cokers if you see the Diamond back classic tires which are Dayton Radials. He is in Horry County SC (Conway)and does the redline with his own equipment. We have a set on our black L69. Call Bill and talk to him . He is very sharpe on fit. He retired from another line of work and his tires which were just a sideline business, are so popular that it is a full, time operation shipping all over the US.

i wouldn't buy those dayton tires. i have a set, and they handle ok and give half-decent traction, but they have huge tread that flings rocks constantly. it's getting very annoying.

I have both the Dayton and the Bf Goodrich tires on several cars. My experience with picking up rocks is there is no material difference between the two brands.

I had a set of Daytona S/R on my 70 a few years back. I used 245/60/15 front and 255/60/15's back. I really liked them. This was probably 11 yeats ago, so maybe things have changed? I had replaced Eagle ST's and I thought they had the same characteristics.
