Speaking of numbers. How do I know what the proper # distributor is for my car?

I dont have one. The one dist I have is a 1111083 but i dont know if its right, the engine was changed once before.

Its a 67 special deluxe 2dr hdtp, 300ci, st300, and rochester 2GC carb.

Correct unit for your car is 1111158. The 1111083 is from a '65.
Not sure how to identify what year engine you have but there are many others here who can. Possible the engine you have is a '65?

No I ID'd the motor, its an early production 67 block and heads. But Ill take your word for it. I appreciate you looking that up, THANK YOU! Where can I get that book?

Local Buick dealer was beginning to get a little tired of digging this book out everytime he saw my truck pull in the yard. One day he had a spare waiting for me.
This was in '02 just after I bought the car.
GM Master Parts Catalogue No. P026. Buick Special, Apollo & Skyhawk - 1964-76. This copy was published in '81 & I've noticed a few of the numbers are replacement part numbers. Occasionally they will differ from the Assembly Manual.
