I don't know anything about casting plastic lenses with chrome trim, but it would seem that when NOS ones are going for over $100 apeice, there's some room for profit in reproducing them:

Has anybody looked into doing these before?
It wasn't too long ago the going price was $100 / set!!!

I believe Alan Faircloth was looking into reproducing these. Haven't heard much from him recently, but it seems that he said he planned on having a few new products to debut at Bowling Green. :Do No:

Golly, there's still 2 days left on the auction.... it may go to $150 or so....the right rear is probably the rarest of the NOS ones; I don't recall seeing many of these come up lately....

I used to get extremely nice used rear side marker lights from California all the time. Once they are installed and have the threads cut in you can't tell them from NOS. The hard ones to get were always the fronts, due to the chrome getting beat where they mounted through the fenders. I am sure you can still find some rears that are about perfect, and will work fine for a Concours car. I have also used plastic polish and the lenses come out beautiful.
