Under 200 of these unusual cars were built by Buick for 1987. Note that these cars do not "shut off" at 124 mph like all Turbo Regals do, indicating a special eprom chip. Numerous part numbers and codes on the motor and transmission are unique only to this model. The car was equipped with some strange options including: a 145 MPH speedometer; white body stripes; an unusual number on the decklid, indicating it was from some kind of fleet... none of which were found on regular production Regals. The car was track tested and ran 8.62 seconds at 78.92 mph in the 1/8 mile!

1987 GRAND NATIONAL FEATURES INCLUDE

Gloss Black Exterior with Special White Stripes and Trunk Decklid Identification

Detailed Gray Interior with Console Automatic Shifter

Opening "Power Bulge" Hood revealing Plumbed & Wired 3.8 L Turbo Buick Powerplant

Buick GN Turbo 6 Emblems on Front Quarter Panels

Soft-touch Radials with Grand National Wheels

Accurately Detailed Undercarriage

Will do Louie. (Thank You)

If anyone is considering one of these please contact me soon. These are selling way faster than GMP figured. My batch is half gone already and they've only been on the website for 4 hours!!

I know that sounds like a sales pitch but if you remember when GMP first produced the Standard 1987 GN's they sold out right away and we're bringing $200 plus on E-Bay!!

Thank you.

Guys,

The only way to "Officially" Pre-Order one of these is to fill out my Secure Online Order Form or call me with your shipping & billing information. My online order form is simple but secure!

If you pre-order one with a credit card I will NOT charge your card until the cars are in stock and ready to ship. If you want to send in a Money Order for one that is fine to but then you're paying for the item prior to its arrival.
Either way is fine but I have to have your info on file to "Officially" reserve one for you. I'm trying to avoid having to contact everyone the day they arrive. I'd be on the phone half the day with as many as I have coming in. Plus as previously mentioned these are selling fast enough that if you wait until they come in, it may be to late. Over half of my batch has already pre-sold and it's only the first day they've been on the website.

Here is a direct link to my Ordering Information Page (http://www.diecastmusclecars.com/order%20info.htm). It should answer any questions you may have regarding the ordering process as well as my shipping practices and warranty information. The Online Order Form (https://www.diecastmusclecars.com/secure/order_form.htm) can also be accessed from this page.

Thanks for the interest. Let me know if you guys have any questions.

Thank You Mark. I did receive the order and as mentioned you will not be billed until they're here and ready to ship. I'll pack your car with care as well prior to shipping.

I've sent you a Pre-Order confirmation to your e-mail address for your records.

Thanks again, I appreciate the order.

Back in '88 I had the opportunity to see one of these FBI Grand Nationals up close. I don't recall any white striping or numbers on the deck lid. I know it had a government plate. It also had the red/blue lights mounted in the rear window upper/lower corners and in the grille area if I remember right.

I saw the car in Louisville KY on my way home to Indiana from Ft. Knox for the weekend.

1 left as of this morning.

I do have another source I may be able to get more from. GMP is sold out but I have a couple other Wholesalers that stock the GMP Product line.
I'll check on that today.

For now though, just one left!

Also, just so you guys know that are pre-ordering these. I do require a credit card up front to reserve one but your card is NOT charged until the cars are in stock and ready to ship.

I will charge your card the day they arrive, pack it with care and it will ship out the same day your card is charged.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately these models NEVER seem to come in when the Manufacture first announces they will so the slight delay is common.

I spoke with my Rep on Monday and they're now due here around the Middle of July. Possibly close to the end of July by the time the collector actually receives one.

GMP themselves is sold out. Anyone that has an interest in this model should have one on Pre-Order with the dealer of there choice. These will be like the 1st 1987 GN's GMP released. (Sold out right away and bringing more than retail because of it)

These are due here on Thursday July 16th.

I have a handful left for sale. (GMP themselves are Sold Out!)

Just to let you guys know, the GN's are coming from two different suppliers.

1st Batch has already arrived direct from GMP. That batch filled "Most" of the pre-orders that I have and have already been shipped back out.

2nd Batch is coming from a secondary supplier since GMP has already sold out. These will be here today (July 17th).

So some of you guys may get your model this week and some may get it next week. It just depends on how early your order was placed and from which batch its coming from.

Some of the profits are going towards the restoration of my "Stock Appearing" 1970 GS Drag Car so thanks again, I appreciate the business!

Got mine yesterday (actually it may have come sooner but I was away from home). Looks awesome but I do have some questions.

Originally, you said only 750 to be produced but the box claims 1050 were made
Also, box says fabric seat belts but I dodn't see any seat belts.
Other than that, the only thing I wish they would have done is detail the interior more like the door panels and stuff. I'm just happy they made it though.

Not a big deal, just wondering why the differences? Overall, very pleased. I think mine is #304:TU:

I believe the production number was changed due to the quick sell out of them. There were quite a few dealers that didn't get there orders in quick enough so GMP bumped the number a bit.

Not sure what to tell you about the Seat Belts. Thats a feature you typically see on there higher end models. (Stuff that retails between $109 - $139) GMP would have to answer that one!

As for more detail GMP's higher end models have superior detail but this particual mold is one of there 1st attempts and while it's pretty nice (Especially for the Price) it's not on par with there higher end cars. Again those cars retail for $109 to $139 though!! I'm hoping we'll see GMP do a high end version of the 70-72 GS's & GSX's. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks again,

Todd
