ok, found a great project for the little lady 1969 buick riviera. no engine/tranny. i want to go with a 455/400 short shaft combo, keep it stock. everything is there, drive shaft as well, so look to drop it in and bolt it up and go kinda deal...

i believe it was Doc telling me that the 400short shaft came from only 68-70 rivs/wildcats/electras

does it matter what year 455 I get? or can i bolt a 71-72-73 right up?

thanks guys, sorry for the questions, i'm not used to dealing with these engine/tranny's, it's greek to me, but the lady is SET on this car. it really is a solid project.

thanks ;):beer

If you really want, I could tell you in Greek...

Any BBB from 67-76 will work. As far as transmissions, it depends on the body. The Rivs and A body big block cars take the short tail. Im pretty sure the Electras take a long tail. Not sure on the others
