After reading some of the other post I guess this should be a stupid question but will 8" x 15" stock steel rims fit on the back of my car with 245/265 60 size tires? I had to take the 14's off and felt those were a bitch to fit under the fender. I also think I need to replace the springs.

I would like to run 7" x 15" on the front and 8" x 15" on the back with dog caps for my driver set. I don't want to raise the car too much because I will be putting the factory tires back on for shows and they are tiny.

Thanks for any help or pix you could post!! :3gears:

A 15x8 and 245/60 should be fine on your car if the back spacing is right. You will need a min. of 4.5" with 5" being ideal. I run 275/60 drag radials on my '64 on 15x8 wheels w/ 4.5" BS and if I go through the right situation the pass. rear will rub a little. Just driving or making a drag pass, they don't rub at all. If I had 4.75"-5" of BS, they would never rub. I usually run 28x10.5 Mickey Thompson ET Streets on stock steel wheels (15x7) and they never rub even when aired way down.

Hope this helps,

Randy
