there is a Riveria for sale on a local sales network and it is advertised as :
1963 buick riveria with a 465 cu. in buick engine. rare motor. my question is: was such an engine ever manufactured by buick? i've done considerable research on buick over the past 3 years and i have not seen such. i also saw a car at bg friday with a 465 cu in emblem on the breather top. would like to know about this.

465 is the torque rating for the 425 CI engine.

The breather should read "Wildcat 465" or something such as this. The 465 refers to the torque output like Adam said. The seller is just misinformed. Good luck trying to change his mind!!:Dou:
