Ok, I hauled my car through clinton mo, a few months ago and a guy at the gas station struck up a conversation...he was informed on buicks and asked questions about my stage 1. He then said his friend had a bunch...and told me how to get there.
Today on the way to my in-laws I stopped and his son was there
Shed 1
2- 56 buicks, one a white hardtop, and one a post green
- 1 63 lesabre with a very straight body
- 65 gto
- 72 skylark pretty good condion
- 2 85-87 regals
shed 2
- 1970 chevelle SS
- 1970 Buick GS STage 1 four speed (partially completed) dark green
- 1968 z-28 with no engine
- Couple of other cars i cant remember
Shed 3 (unbelievable) all gs's
- 68 GS 400, stick
- 69 gs stage 1 4-spd
- 70 gs 350

- 73 gs 455 (stage 1 i believe) 4 speed
- 2 other 70-72 gs 455's
- several 70-72 hoods, and other parts
other cars on property...multiple GN's, several other skylarks
owner stated on other property an entire other building of gs's
fyi, none of the cars were restored and most had been sitting for years, had to wipe an inch of dust off just to look in windows...

Wow Mike, please, please get some pics!
I visited a local guy that had a 65 GS 4 speed car.....he had another 20+ cars in the barn. The highlights were a 1950's Chrysler 300 with dual quads and a real Mustang BOSS 429!
There is some good stuff out there...you have found quite a stash!:TU:

Yesterday, I was sooo tempted to detour to Clinton while on my way home from southwest MO via Hwy 71. I think my dispatch would've send a rescue/recovery team though.

Do tell many would like to know if any of the the Stage 1 4spd's are for sale
I am sure this is a well known story but a well known Mustang collector was in Mexico on vacation and showing some pics to his new friends and when a pic of his beloved Boss 429 was seen a local gentleman says he has one of those. A short very quick trip to his Casa ended with this collector looking at a 69 Boss 429 with no engine being used as a dog house. He posted pics in Mustang Monthly. After making several trips to Mexico he bought 13 rare cars including a notchback Shelby that is documend and now restored. He found a 69 L88vette and yes bought that too. Seems like a lot of these cars went south across the border.

Haha. Similiar story: I worked at a Ferrari shop in southern california. We had one car in there called a SIATA. The best description of this car is it is an Italian Shelby Cobra. It predated the Cobra, and AC Ace by about seven years or so. It was penned by the same bunch that did a lot of the early fifties ferraris, such as the 212 Inter, and the Europas and such. They had a 2.0 V8 (sounds wicked!) and only 56 were built.

Anyway, I remember hearing a story about a SIATA (the one sequentially constructed after the one we had in our shop), that was rescued in the same manner as the boss 429 'Stang you speak of, StageD70.
He was in Tiajuana, and saw the hull (monocoque construction FTW!) in a yard, minus the suspension and wheels, with a couple of guys drinking beer on it, and yes, the umbiquious dog was chained to it as well. This guy also had a few Peugouets and Citroens in various stages of disrepair in the yard as well.
All total, the owner walked away with the car for $100. The original 2.0 Fiat-based V8 was located, as well as the suspension parts. The common thing for these cars in the fifties and sixties was to get a small block chevy dropped in. That particular car had a 327 in it for a very long time. Anyway, my two pence to this thread!
