Can anyone steer me to a source for a knowledgeable company or person who can tell me what wheel studs I need to get to mount some new rims. I have a 68 Skylark, converting to 71 Monte Carlo spindles for power disc brakes. Still has 9 1/2" factory drums in rear. The new rims are from a 2004 S-10 with ZQ-8 option rims, 16"x8" (scored a set for $50 each brand new, normally closer to $300 and over $500 each from GM)
The studs on the Monte in front are:
Thread Size:7/16" – 20 Overall Length:1 5/16"=33.3375mm
Knurl Diameter:.564"=14.3256mm Shoulder Length:3/8"=9.52500 mm

Rear are:
Thread Size:7/16" – 20 Overall Length:1 1/2"=38.1000mm
Knurl Diameter:.472"=11.9888mm Shoulder Length:11/32"=8.73125mm

The studs on the S10 are:
Thread Size:M12 - 1.5 Overall Length:41.5 mm=1.63386”
Knurl Diameter:12.73mm=0.50118” Shoulder Length:8mm=0.31496”

Or optional are:
Thread Size:M12 - 1.5 Overall Length:54mm=2.12598”
Knurl Diameter:12.8mm=0.50394” Shoulder Length:8mm=0.31496”
I think I am looking at the optional (longer) size since the rim is fairly thick.

I know it can be done since I have seen them on a 70 Chevelle

My problem is, when I slip the rims onto the stock studs, they are so short the lug nut doesn't touch the stud. Thinking of getting racing studs from Moroso-Jegs and then cut down to length, I know there is a company that makes lug nuts for the 7/16 thread to mount the lug nut caps(external thread)
Moroso makes :
#710-46150: 7/16"-20 x 2-7/8" Press-In Studs •.480" knurl • Fits most late GM drum brakes
and
#710-46160: 7/16"-20 x 2-7/8" Press-In Studs •.560" knurl • Fits most GM late disc and early drum brakes

Thanks

Guess I will try the Moroso from Jegs or Summit.
Can alwys cut them down if they are too long.

I think you want a Dorman 611-160 nut and a 610-157 stud.

Here's a link to that section of their catalog...

Oh Sweet! I love application guides, I spend quite a bit of time researching what fits what and how to interchange to make goofy stuff look like it is factory original.
Thanks
