I still have a Mom, less a 69 GS 400 Convert

Well guys...I recieved a call from my wife around 12:30 today at work saying that my mom was involved in an accident. I wasn't too concerned because my mom usually drives an F250 until my wife said my mom was alone, in her buick (convertible)...and rolled it twice down the freeway!!! Now the good news. She walked away dumbfounding everyone! I'll say it again...she walked away. I can not help but think what a wonderful God we have to those faithfull...there is more to the story but yet it is still amazing to me. See the pix of the car --Original 69 GS 400 convertible...except for items like the paint. A sad end to the car but an amazing testimony!

My god, with a convertible, she was really lucky....reminds me of when my brother lended is MX-3 to my mother.....it was a total lost, but not a 69 GS ram air hood convertible! Was she wearing both seat belts?

Thank God she is OK. Cars can be replaced or fixed. She is a lucky lady.

1) How the heck did she do it? I doubt she was racing, an that's a farily low-slung car. Over-correction, I imagine, but due to what?

No dad is not parting the car out. It will be fixed and put back on the road in the future. Im sure he is going to work on the other GSs in his stockpile before this one though.

Blown left rear and overcorrection, ditch, big rock and of course The Lord.

For Dad everything is in the future...this is one more slap in the face by the Lord to get dad's attention and keep him home...mom was just along for the ride...she already knows the Lord has control. If only dad would get off the candy store high of trying to do or get everything (money and attention) and fix whats at home including the growing list of buicks... It is our continual prayer request.

No, the insurance will not cover it because it was a simple liability policy.

As far as repairable... my dad is by trade a very talented and capable Body and Auto mechanic. My brothers and I have seen far worse come out looking new at the hands of my dad...if only he would get back to it.

Heck, take it to your local car show -- it might even be eligible for the "survivior" category.

If only he just used his talent that was given to him...everything else would have fallen into place or would fall into place now. I tried to tell dad long ago. Kainan has tried to tell him not so long ago. We will keep a prayin for him....but for now his call was to be home for all this drama and use his talents to keep the family that is at home mobile. Every action however so small, the lord has set.

So mom is alright now just sore, its prayers from above for our talented father that we should request.
