Hello, I am building a motor in the next few weeks and putting it back in the car but the car will be at the body shop till next summer sometime. Should I do anything to the motor while I build it to prevent rust on the cylinder walls ect. Should I apply a light coat of lithium grease to cam, cylinder walls ect? it will be stored indoors all year but not heated.
Thanks
Terry
Put moly grease on the cam and lifters, vaseline in the oil pump....and a good squirt of engine oil in each cyl... and tape the openings up.... to keep varments out.....
