Well, usually My wife and I would already be at the Scottish Inn,enjoying a few cocktails and waiting for the rest of the NorthEast chapter to show up.
Not this year! Uncle Sam bit us in the ass,a new roof on the house last month and only a week vacation this year.
I do wish everybody good weather and racing:TU:
Any other regulars who can't attend this year? Misery loves company:laugh:

Kenny,
As you know, I no longer attend. Do miss seeing everyone though. At any rate, I will here while they are away too. Hope the weather is good for their sake and the tornados stay away.

I miss going there, and was really hoping something would work out. Alas, I have a brand-new job and haven't gotten any vacation time yet (or vacation $$ savings), so it's not in the cards this year. Hopefully next year...

I am going just to visit my friends! I am using the trip to shake down my 69 Sportwagon. The GSCA meet is over Saturday afternoon, so I can leave for GA Sunday morning. My wife is going to meet me there for a tour sponsored by the Buick Driving Enthusiasts ( a division of the BCA):beer :bglasses:

The GS Nationals this year were fantastic! The weather was warm and it only sprinkled a couple times and that only delayed racing a few times for about an hour. The swap meet had tons of great parts and some real good prices. The Nationals staff did an EXCELLENT job! Richard,Bennett,John and all the rest of you...Thanks!!!I had a BLAST  If I was anyone reading this thread that DID'NT attend because of the forecast I would be:ball: :ball: :ball:
Peace WildBill

Wow, that's interesting... I've read in some other posts on the board from attendees that the car show was nearly deserted, and the swap meet and vendor area was practically a joke, compared to other years. I guess everyone's opinion is subjective, but there's considerable contrast in those 2 views. :Do No: :puzzled:

The GS Nats can be sumed up this way:YES car show was much smaller than I ever saw it,Yes swap meet was smaller than I ever saw it,Yes race turn out was smaller than I have saw it.BUT THAT ALL SAID it still the biggest all Buick GS/GN event that you have ever saw [UNLESS YOU HAVE ATTENDED OTHER YEARS OF THE GS NATS] I think a lot of people think the GS Nats are now a flop from what has been said, but it is still a great event for any Buick lover to attend.I know I had FUN.
