It has a problem with the transmission that will have to get fixed, but I will be driving it soon.

Has every factory option. T-tops, posi, power windows, power door locks, power driver seat, tilt steering wheel, remote trunk opener, rear window defroster, concert sound II.

Aftermarket 3" exhaust, walbro fuel pump with hotwire kit, cd player, K&N air filter, 8 position chip, stock replacement injectors. Probobly more that I am forgetting.

What's wrong with the stock MAF? I know a lot of guys use the LS1 MAF.

I am going to buy some aftermarket control arms.

Spoiled is right. But self spoiled for the most part.
As a proud parent, I have to add that Tyler has worked hard since he was 15. We helped him with the GSX build originally to provide his first car. He built the race car out of parts we had, and has been helping pull and sell parts to pay for that. He is now an apprentice with a local plumbing company and will go to college in the fall. It is all his money he is spending, and the bank loan for the GN is in his name.

I help him working on stuff, since I have more ability to turn a wrench, than right a check.

I just hope he will let me drive one of them every once in a while.

Take a "close look" under the weather stripping under the front of the T-Top and check for rust. Address if necessary. Otherwise enjoy.

The stock MAF was a good piece of technology 20 years ago. They are showing their age now, and even a partial failure can cost you a head gasket. Many still swear by them, but after fixing countless customers' cars that had issues with the stock MAF, I recommend going right to the LT1/LS1 MAF and translator. I liken it to using a Commodore 64 instead of a Pentium 4 computer, the technology is here now so why not take advantage of it. Some of the newer chips (specifically Turbotweak) will lock the MAF value at 255 at WOT. This will prevent some issues for the stock MAF users, but mix part throttle boost with an improper airflow reading to the ecm and you have a recipe for disaster. The LT1 MAF is 3" in diameter and will hook up to your existing MAF pipe and filter. You'll need a device called a "MAF Translator" to convert the signal from a newer MAF to one that the stock ecm can read. They pop up used occasionally on the turbo boards. I worked on turbo Buicks exclusively for a few years, if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM. I also have tons of parts, new and used, stock and performance.

Slight Tranny Problem:Do No:

They all have tranny problems, lol. Just make sure that it is a BFR with a BR valve body in there and not some junkie 2004r. Mine had a KCF which was a POS.

Once you start upgrading, it's really hard to stop! Get a scanmaster first so you don't blow it up. It's easy to learn, way different than other cars.

Mine is a WE4 with:

4" Big Mouth, LS1 with Translator, 42 Lb Injectors, Power Plate, Stock Turbo, Comp 980 Valve Springs, No Cat, Beefed up 2004r (BFR with a BR3 VB), 2800 stall lock up convertor, XP fuel pump, Hotwire Kit and a SMC Progerssive Meth injection:laugh: It will spank just about anything out there and I still have all kinds of mods left.

I have a safe tune, 22 PSI of boost, Zero Knock. There's a lot more in this combo. It will spin 50 series tires from 20 Mph to 70mph :bglasses:

My next upgrade is to find some traction.

Have fun with it. Ask lots of questions over at the Turbo Board:
