On my 72 GS, the right headlight was sometimes flickering. All of a sudden the headlight shutdown. I thought the bulb burnt out. But that was not the case. Bought a can of contact cleaner and cleaned out the prongs and contacts and haven't had any issues since. Those contacts were dirty as hell. Did the same with the dimmer switch by the left foot. It makes a whole lot of difference.
