Hi all,
I am a new Buick owner and I had a question that I hope someone can help me with. I need to replace the windshield in my 55 Century to pass the government inspection. The current gasket is past its time. Has anyone found a place to source a gasket, or figured out an alternative model/year gasket that works and is more widely available. Any advice would be extremely appreciated.
:Do No:
Anyone who has glass for sale please IM me too.
Best,
Mike

I knew of this company - they manufacture OEM for auto mfr's and also for winterizing home and garage doors etc. I was good friends with their I/T department manager back in the 1970-80's. I know OF THEM, and am not sure what they do today. If you contact them, let me know the results so I can continue to recommend them, or not ?
Thanks Keith (Rip) Rohring :idea2: :idea2: :idea2:

Thanks folks,
Sorry for the slow reply. I just got back from a trip to pick up the new car. :TU: (pics coming soon). I will check out your tips.
Now another quick question. I have a line on a used windshield. It is from a 2dr special (55). I know the special is the same body as the century. Will a 2dr special (with post) fit a century 4dr riviera? I thought I read somewhere along the way that only the convertible is different. Any thoughts? I would hate to have it sent across the country to only find out there is a minor difference. If anyone has any experience with this, please let me know.
Best,
Mike

The Special and Century 2 and 4 door hartops and convertible windshields are the same. The post sedan windshields will not fit...they are taller.
