Got the car back from the body-shop two weeks ago and had to notice that all moulding clips are missing or broken.
So I need all the clips and fasteners that are required to mount all the stainless trim to the body.
I tried classic buicks, year one, Kanter and OPGI but i couldn't find the correct clips or something that i could modify to fit.

Any ideas?

hi:

I've got a '63 Skylark convertible, so I feel your pain. I found some clips at oldbuickparts.com. I'm still looking forwhatever holds the stainless trim along the rocker panels at the bottom of the car - any ideas? pictures?

About the week your '62 was born, I had a '53 Yellow Speciall. Lots of the bondo on my fenders literally fell off, causing shakes, rattles and bangs ? So I set about pulling clips with screw drivers and pliers (half broke) thru the rusty holes, and the clips that DID come out wouldn't go back in later on - unless I soaked them in COKE (with caffiene and sugar). I got so discouraged I left the chrome off, somewhat fixing the bondo problems (lots of SALT in Buffalo all winter) and then the engine died - sayonarra.
In anticipation of maybe needing to use the "fish line technique" to get my current Blue-n-White '53's chrome off, and maybe breaking some clips, I did some "parts and accessories" searches on e-bay motors, for a 53 Buick. It returned a few "piles" of unattributed clips, many in plastic bags. You might try looking there a few times each week for '62 Buick clips - I would guess they disappear at auction within a day or two. Pay the "buy it now" price ? If I recall correctly, there were plastic bags of '53 clips for a couple dollars to $5. Didn't look for a '62. . .

Uh - <er> - That's a mighty nice looking 62 - mine's in the hospital right now, fixing oil and gas leaks and suspension issues. Floor pans are next, then interior. Paint will have to wait a year - but it's fairly okay as is. I've got access to a FULL Roadmaster 4 dr sedan - poor to middlin' chrome, has A/C; P/W; P/S; P/B !
