I've owned this car for going on 4 years and the leak from my transmission is getting worst. I've had it on a lift and it appears that the fluid is coming from a rubber boot at the point where the torque tube enters the trans. I assume there is some type of seal that needs a replacing. Question is this a major undertaking? Can it replaced without pulling the trans by removing the tube?

Will have a friend much better at this than I helping me this winter.

Thanks

Bob,
There is a seal at the tail of the trans and yes you can replace it without pulling the trans.I have never did the repair but if your remove the rear anti sway bar ,disconnect the shocks, and remove the bolts around the rear trans support, the rear will roll back enough so you can get to the seal .there may be other thing like emerg brake cable, brake lines etc that need to be disconnected.
Put this Question on the BCA webpage and I'm sure you will have more experts on the subject.
Good Luck!!!!!
