Hey guys,
Does anyone know much about what is involved in getting a late model SBC (LS1) into a 55 buick?
If anyone has done this conversion or if anyone could foresee any issue or reasons why not to.
I already have a chev tranny adapted to the nailhead.
:beers2:

its all about the wiring thats the hard part. I am looking to do a swap into and older car soon myself. (unless someone buys my LS1 package)

Cheers Racebuicks,
Im more concerned with the engine mount position/sump position at this point.
The nailhead adapted with the chev trans leaves me with a not so favourable pinion angle/trans angle (-6 degrees) before raisng the trans tunnel.
Raising the tunnel i will probably get around (-4 degrees) keeping the driveshaft in centre plane of the x-member cutout. I am going to these lengths because i have it all setup with airbags/ custom 4link etc.
