I have a 64 Skylark with a 300 v8. I'm looking at a vintage a/c system but will need to find or fabricate a compressor bracket. I've heard that brackets from a 3.8 Buick will match up with the 300. Does anyone know if this is the case? It was recommended that I get brackets for a/c compressor, alternator and p/s pump since I may have to relocate the alternator and p/s pump from their current locations.

If you don't want the hassle of searching far and wide for the original parts, just call Vintage Air and they will supply everything you'll need.
You might reach out to 197064buickspecial Brian. He might have a complete set up!!!!

I have a 65 Special here with a 225 V6 and air. Would the brackets of it work.
Thanks Bruce

Hi
Here's my 64 Skylark dash so you know what a factory AC dash looks like. What are you going to use for outlets in the cab?:puzzled:
The standard defrost and heater outlets??
Let me know if you need any further help....I can always check mine for you!:TU:
Although I dont have my AC reinstalled yet since my 300 to 350 transplant. I have all the parts waiting for next summer....
Lets see a pic of your 64:kodak:

The vintage air systems supply the vents which mount under the dash in three locations. I like the look of the factory vents in your 65. Fills up the big void above the radio. Here are a few pics.

Yes. 4BBL version with an Edelbrock 600 in place of the Rochester. I thought about a 350 swap but I think I'm gonna stay with and rebuild the 300.
