61 LeSabre Heat

Here's a dumb question....
How much output should a blower motor put out on a 61 LeSabre?
I have a broken fan cable so I traced it to the firewall where there's a lever that looks like it controls the blower speed. I manually moved it and did get some air flow but it was pretty low. I couldn't seem to get any differeent air fow speeds (low, med, high).

Can you hear the blower running at different speeds if you change the speed at the switch?

Nope - actually I can't hear the blow motor at all but there is a bit of air flow to the floor.

It should move alot of air.

I don't remember my '62 having different speeds, just on or off.

Thanks! Got it - working now just have to repalce the cable. Fixed the temp cable so I can regulate the heat too, all in all a successful first Buick project.
