Best "Buick in the snow" photo ever:
http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w166/V8BuickRides/1950/53Buick-1.jpg
Great shot by Michael Allen (he's from Flint, Michigan), he travels around the world to take photos of trains.
Here's another one with Annie Bruehl's 1953 Buick in it:

Hey Steve,
Is the green Skylark available whole or parts?
Steve Craig
01-09-2010, 08:52 AM
Green car is a '72 GS350. Paint is about the only thing holding this car together. Serious rust everywhere, including the frame. I've picked a few parts/pieces from it. Front swaybar, misc. clips, timing cover. Might get back to it in the Spring & then scrap what's left.
I have no use for it anymore but neither will anyone else in this condition.
heres my 68 gs 400 4 speed, when I first went to look at it.

Don't know how to get my snow pix as thumbnail attachments. But the '53 is sitting in the driveway, waiting for my new garage to start building. Had 30 plus inches on top, was down to 24 or so, got a little more snow Friday. No new snow yesterday - first day with no snow since 12/27 - day after the 11 inch drop.

Why don't you yank the daily driver out of the garage and put the 53 inside?
Gosh I hate seeing it in the snow..................
Have to put this one to another garage, waiting for profesional man to put vinyl top on. Goran :)

Steve - If I could, I would ! Put the '53 in the too narrow garage. The builder way back in late 60's made it to fit a VW Bug or a Citroen or ? I would have a total clearance of maybe 1 inch - half inch either side - but wouldn't be able to open the doors - that's if I didn't hook or scrape the chrome or fenders or bumpers. . .
It is a pretty good looker at 20 feet, lots of blemishes at 10 ft and closer. Needs a paint job -she's water tight.
That's a red Santa Sock hanging out of the "mouth" under the hood - got lots of comments from passerbys.
My Expedition sits out on the other driveway - I get the nose just up and under the overhang. There's a no winter Taurus that fits inside the small garage.. Behind the Buick is a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Limited I'll be selling. Any interest hereabouts ? It's a nice all option car.
As soon as the snow stops, and temps get to 40 to seal the concrete the builder can complete the lumber work. We missed a grat opportunity for warm weatherover Thansgiving weekend - but the builder had a family get together down in Ohio. . . Then Christmas weekend it warmed up again - no workers available.
So, Spring is coming down the road.

I'm working on getting back in to the car groove.
I got so busy working on our new house, then we are now spending a ton of time volunteering with the pet rescue group and fostering dogs that something had to give and since the garage was to cold to work in it was easy to push this stuff to the side temporarily.
By spring/summer time you guys will get sick of me again :bla:

This Nor"easter is still hanging around and with some snow flurries, after it dropped like 28 some inches of heavy wet snow last two days, over 36 hours of no power :Do No: . Bill, Thanks. I removed as much as possible off the structure to reduce the weight off the cars. Was able to low crawl in side as far as the front of the GSX, has a shattered windshield and some dents on the front fenders. The Wildcat has two dents on the roof and couldn't get to front of car to check it. :Do No:

Last weekend had the Buick Rescue Team of Wappingers Falls, dig out the cars, and surveilling the damage. I'm very happy with the little damage to the cars. The 1963 Wildcat has the roof dented, a dent on the hood and one on the trunk. The 56 has the windshield smashed, roof popped back up. The 69 GS also has damage to the windsheild and roof, the 1971 GSX just the windsheild
