We have a 1971 Buick GS 455 Stage 1 Convertible with VIN # 434671H100576. In 1971, the "H" (which indicates the FLint Michigan Plant) does not appear under the 1971 Model Plants that produced this car according to the Year One Catalogs references.
We have heard rumours of 8 "Zone Cars" (cars made for the different geographical sales zones in the U.S.) produced in 1971.
Does anyone have any way to verify this rumour or explain why my car was made in Flint, MI instead of one of the other assembly plants listed for 1971????
Did the Buick GS Stage 1 have the front spoiler or was that only the GSX??
Lastly who would be the foremost authority on the GS Stage 1 Convertible?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
