I pick them off the shelf at O'Reilly.
Brand: Thermoid
Title: Carburetor Preheater Hose
Part Number: PAP5021
This is the black one, not the bare aluminum one.

The really good one is kind of a paper/fiberglass mix and ran me almost $20 when I bought it in about '96. But I tell you it looks as good today as when new. Well worth the bucks; does not collapse; completely holds its shape. You can see the pipe on this photobucket site with my car (below).

Thanks. I could only find silver ones locally. Ordered one from CARS.

I bet the Cars one is silver. Then and Now lists them as well

Why pay $20 when you can get one at O'Reilly for $10?

Kind of off subject but did O'Reillys buy out all the Checkers stores nationwide? In Milwaukee Checkers(before turning into O'Reillys) use to give you a 10 percent discount if you called ahead for a part they had in stock and then came to that same location to purchase it. I saved like 30 bucks on a radiator about 2 years ago. I didnt know anything about that discount untill he was ringing me up and "Oh yeah, you called ahead right?"
Full price retail sucks!
