I am not one who has ever posted a new thread here. But I cannot let the opportunity pass by without letting you folks know about Robert E." Bob" White.Bob passed on last week.He was an inspiration to all who knew him.He was a dear friend ,initially of my father and mother, but became like a second father to me.I can't say enough about his warmth, compassion and integrity.
Even though my family and I are Canadians I want to note the passing of a true American hero.Bob ,by the way, lived in Newton,Mass. He served in the U.S.A.A.F.,385th Bombardment Group, during WW 11.He was the recipient of four air medals and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday,in Arlington Virginia.
God Bless youi Bob,
Rod

The world needs a whole lot more like him. He's gone on
to a much greater place, and I'm sure he's catching up
with everyone that went on before.

The greatest generation is dying off at an alarming rate. We live a spoiled lifestyle because of them. They were tougher than us.

Thank You Lord, for the generation that went before us, You gave us a GREAT example that doing the right thing is possible to do.
I believe Revelation 3:7-12 speaks of that generation, the end of an age. Dieing is their escape from what is mentioned in Rev 3:10. 3:15-22 then, refers to the rest of us. We're gonna be here when the crap splatters. God help us all.
(If you wanna look it up, and don't have a Bible handy, you can go to blueletterbible.org - just type in, or copy n paste, Rev 3 and scroll down to verse 7 to read what I'm talking about. Also, I recommend changing the version to NKJV [New King James Version] from the drop down menu next to the search box - it's ALOT easier reading)
