I ended up stripping out two of the header bolt holes on my new TA Stage 2 SE heads. The inner five holes are very deep (maybe 3/4") but by the time you put the gasket and the thick header flange, only about 3 threads of the supplied 3/4" bolts engage. The outer two holes are shallow, so the 3/4" bolts need to be used there. Be careful with these. For the inner five I used ARP #400-1211 one inch long SS bolts after repairing the threads on the two damaged ones.

Good info Paul. How were you able to tighten the outer two bolts since they are shallow and require the 3/4" bolt?

I want to see some pics of the chassis when you get them. I sent you an email last night so you have my address! :beer

The header flange bends inward on the ends since it's only supported on one end. I didn't tighten them as much either.
