Hello,
I am in the process of putting some big treads on the rear. What tool is used to trim the fender chrome back that overhangs the fender lip?
Thanks for your help
Jim

Best tool in the tool box........BFH
Usually, it is the fender lip, not the chrome that sticks out the furthest. Our red car has 12.5" rear tire.

I noticed that. On my passenger side the fender lip protrudes further than the chrome. It's the complete opposite on the driver side.

sawz-all will trim it up nicely, then hit it with a file to eliminate any jagged edges

The Big F Hammer will help roll it up, but does require a little more care if the body work is nice. Sawzall needs a short blade.
On our 72, the 12.5 tire fits without a problem on driver side, passenger sid was a problem.

There is a tool for rolling the lip without body damage. It bolts to the rotor or rear axle and it actually rolls the edge. I think Eastwood sells it.
